I don't understand this.
I got a 6g IDE drive. I partitioned it into 3x1g and 6x500mg. They are all formatted into FAT. My C: drive is only my Win95 op.syst. My J: is a 1g and use it to stock some files mainly mp3s. My D: drive is where I download most of the stuff on and sort it what I want to keep and cut'n'paste to my J: drive.

Suddenly I can't copy any this on my J: drive which is one gig. I constantly get the following error. " Cannot create or replace whatever.doc. The directory or file cannot be created" ????????
I scan, defrag , run the antivirus on that drive. I even remove all files on that drive and delete that partition and recreated it, and reformatted it, again. I was able to copy up to 390 mg and now I get that same ****ing error. ? Can anyone help me with this? I am out of ideas to what can cause this or can to fix this. Any solution will be appreciated. You can email it to do_g@hotmail.com or post it here.
Thanks millions.
George

Frustrations aside, the way you characterize the error could be part of the problem. - 8-Ball

So Kgb, you have then 9 partitions? 3 of them are 1GB and 6 of them are 500MB and you are sure that your "J" drive is 1GB and not 500mb? --your post was a bit confusing.

And you cannot write to the "J" drive?,, or you CAN write 390MB but nothing beyond that??

If it is actually a 500MB FAT patrition, and NOT 1GB, then 390MB may be all that you can put on there depending on FAT file system waste. Are you sure it is a 1GB opartition?

...and "OLD ONE" near as I could find the word 4*U*C*K actually came to us from an old Anglo-lish farming term meaning "to poke a hole and plant a seed" that was given a different connotation by its use as a slang for intercourse. It might just as well been the verb form of "plant" that had come to us in this form... so dont be a "planter" and help the man out if you can. BTW, No home is complete without a few nice potted 4ucks around the house.

The "Found Under Carnal Knowledge" story is apparently just a myth.

Beware giving too much power to mere words.

I must side with the Old One.When asking for help,One should show manners,Not the vulgar terms of ones upbringing.Perhaps the answer is "Lost in Space / Without Space".
