Hi All My atlas HD went into melt down, I had just backed up every thing to CDRW (updated all file) took CD out and put on top of system case, went to make a brew, and when I came back smoke every where one $%&&& up system and back also melted, so I now have to redo all my address book, and fav files, had to put my 2000 pro system online, so all of you who have sent emails before can you please do so again so I can use auto add to my address book. in the mean time I am going to have words with Quantum as the drive had a warrant on it till 2001( go figure)

Sorry to hear it dude. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif
You should invest in a HDD cooler - newer drives get v-hot. try www.2cooltek.com (http://www.2cooltek.com)

Good idea, but the cooler did not save the day, still had a fire prob a short out, turned the top of the system into a hot plate with my backup CDRW on it.

Tech support aint the problem,
What I need to speed up getting my address book back is e-mails from those I normally send to.
It can all be over come with time, but it's just a pain having to re-do a large address book and also find some deal's I was in the middle of with people who had gone into the book in the last 4 weeks. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif

Thanks Mike looks like you'll be first in the address book once I have the e-mail in 2000 configured, had it disabled on this system to stop the kids fragmenting my records, wish I had now at least I would have had some http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif
