Okay here is my problem,Lately my PC has been rebooting of it's own accord when I'm online mostly. It doesn't matter if I'm running Win2k or 98 as it's dual boot.
All my settings seem fine although my voltage has dropped from 2.0 to 1.95(and I can't change it in the Bios) for my CPU.My system is Epox BX61M mobo,a P-2 400 OC'ed to 450 using 4.5x100 multiplier(and yes it is not locked)and sometimes I use FSB Software to increase it to 103 FSB and it seems to reboot more with this so I've stopped using it but it still happens, moreso when I'm online than not.Using 100PC Dram-generic. Heat does not seem to be the problem as system temp is 28C and CPU temp is at 32C.
The only thing that is on when this happens is I'm running RC5 all the time 24/7 (is this drawing too much power) so I've shut it down to type this out and hopefully it will post.
Any help would be appreciated as this is getting very frustrating.

How do you access the 'net? Check your system resources from time to time. Do you have a fixed size on your swap file? (virtual memory)

Just for the heck of it, try cacheman. If you have 64 mb or more of ram, use the normal setting. If you have less then 64mb ram, use the low memory setting. I have it for download on my website.

How much ram do you have? If you have 32mb ram, try setting your swap file to right around 100 mb's. 64 ram, set it to about 150. 128 mb's, set it to about 220 or so.

See if this helps any. My family uses AOL ( http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif ) and when the resources would go too low, they'd get bumped off.

Hope this helps some

Grandslammer, I have 96 mb of ram and my resources are fine and my physical memory is at 2\3rd's. I seem to have no problems staying online so long as I don't run RC5 and this also happens when I'm doing apps offline also,it just happens more when I'm online as I'm online most of the time.
Under w2k in the memory manager it is showing that Mem Usage:59276/278192K
Physical Memory Total:96824 Available:33836
System Cache:50564
Commit Charge: Total:59220 Limit:278192 Peak:64804
