--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am having a problem exporting after effects files with the dv500 compression so that I can use them in premiere. Every time I start to render a file I get a message about 17 seconds into the rendering that says:
"After Effects Error: an unspecified error occured. Not enough storage to process comand. (8)
(53::25)"

Something is wrong here, I only have 1 minute of video to render and am exporting it to a 30gig drive. Help please!

PS. I run Windows 2000 and have the updated drivers

THanks!

Did you e-mail Pinnacle, what did they say? Give us some hardware info(scsi HDD, ram, etc). Are you rendering in real time?

Hey Canit, here are the specifics.

Dual PIII 800 Copermine Processors
256mb RAM
Maxtor Diamond Max 30.7 Gig U66 7200rpm
IBM Ultrastar 18ES 9.1gig Ultra2 wide SCSI

What I have been doing is creating something in After Effects then adding it to "render que". From there I use "video for windows" and use the "pinnacle dv" format. The manual stated to use these settings. Am I missing a step? I have never used the DV500 before. I have used other much weaker cards before.

Thanks for the help. I hurting over here...

Macola, that is an awsome NLE system you have there. Your hardware isn't a bottleneck. Can you set the file size in Premiere?

Macola try posting your problem at http://www.videouniversity.com/wwwboard/techqa/index.html. Someone there has probably used DV500, sorry I couldn't help.
