q3, 1024x768 32 bit all, everything maxed out.
6.18=83fps
5.32=78fps
Thing is I was wondering about how much i would get an increase from oc'ing at any oc speed.
Well results were, NOT a **** bit a difference, NOT even .01fps difference SAME fps with it at 240/408 as default factory.
5.32's don't support oc'ing for the gf2 gts card , but 6.18's did, and that's what i clocked with. Back to the 5.32's though the 6.18's have some major issues!!!
Could play everything but NFS5, so decided to stick with the 5.32's till nvidia gets off it's *** and makes some REAL drivers!
So why oc?..who the hell knows, I see no difference, so why mess with it even?
Havn't done 3dmark yet.
Almost forgot to add system specs
Athlon 700
256 megs pc133 sdram
gf2 gts 64 meg DDR hercules
I tried this test at factory clock of 220 core/336 mem, all the way up to 240 core/408 mem, and saw not 1 fps difference, so again I ask why is it a big deal to oc?

No increase? That's weird - I boosted my GF2 to 240 core, and saw a speed increase of about 10-15fps. The fill rate also increased a decent bit.

Make sure your buffer swaps aren't linked to your refresh rate (I.E. turn off V-Sync.)

What's cooling the card,except its own fan?

Sounds like v-sync is enabled. o/c'ing the video card does give a major boost to performance...there's NO question about that.

"What's cooling the card,except its own fan?"
-Nothing but the fan.I got to 408mhz on mem, and 240mhz on core, and it runs fine EXCEPT nfs5 game. Other than tha 6.18's run good.
Went back to 5.32's becasue i couldn't run nfs5.
"Sounds like v-sync is enabled. o/c'ing the video card does give a major boost to performance...there's NO question about that."
-No vsync is ALWAYS off and enver has been on I always disable vsync in both d3d and opengl. As for the increase, I never got any at 220/365, on up to 240/408. Didn't get not even .1fps increase, and I ran it like 3 times to see. So saying it gives an increase, no that's not always true.
It seems if you have a lower end card such as a tnt/tnt2 type card, yes oc'ing seems to help a noticable amount. As for the gf2 cards, doesn't seem to increase much if at all.
I just know I tried stock and many in between and all the way up to 240/408 and not .1fps increase.

overclocking the core on a geforce 2 does virtually nothing because of the enormous bandwith problem, overclocking the memory will give a large boost in preformance. In fact on one review it showed overclocking the core/mem simultaneosly(**** sps) was slower then just overclocking the mem.
