Hi, I was wondering if anybody knows whether or not Asus cured their problems with the K7M motherboard and using their GeForce 6800 pure on it?? I remember when I just built my system with a K7M and that graphics card, it was so unstable. When I switched to the K7V, it was a little more stable. Now, I have the Hercules GeForce 2 64mb and my system is as stable as possible. Does anyone if its fixed yet, I would like to build a system using the K7M and the Asus GeForce card but don't want an unstable system????

I have that same setup at work as a testing station.
Athlon 600, 64Mb 100Mhz, K7m and a v6800 pure, runs like a train, getting 4200 in 3dmark2000 default

REALLY???? I thought it was just my setup before, but then people started writing reports on the motherboard and graphics card not working great together. Also, my brother at Nvidia says that he had people calling them about the problem too but they always had to redirect them to Asus technical service so he never knew why it was like that...Are you running Win98 SE? Or a different OS..oh and if you can, can you tell me the driver version you have on the graphics and motherboard? I got the board right when it came outand the graphics card too. Thank you very much!

Well,

the OS is win98se, pre-installed, but still win98se.

The drivers for the gforce are the detonator 3 drivers from nvidia's site.

For the motherboard, I have the agp miniport drivers from amd's site, and the ide ones too.

Thank you very much for your response. I will have to try my set up again and see if it works. Thanks again!
