What 3dmark did you get?? In 3dMark2000

I was just wondering what everyone else got for their 3dMark. I think my was extremely low because of my video card. My vid. card is a 32mb TNT2 M64 on an Athlon 700 with 128mb RAM. I got 1609 3DMarks before o/c it, and i after i over clocked it from 120/125 to 150/150 i got 2016 3DMarks. Also, how come the scores are so different from those with 3dMark 99 MAX, so what did you get for the 3Dmark in 99MAX?? I got 4,839 3Dmarks and 9,549 CPU 3DMarks. Is that low? For my configuration, I'm planning to upgrade my vid. card to a GeForce256 DDR, so would I expect I huge performance difference??

I just ran 3dm2k today. I have a Celeron running at 450 with a 32M S3 Savage 4 and 64M that got 2000 3dmarks with 3dm99. With 2k it was 904.

Luckily, my 3DMarks are actually alright... But when I used the ResultBrowser, a lot of systems were higher than mine, I was so shocked...

A lot of people cheat by setting their resolution and color depth bit per pixel settings down.

If your gonna go by anyones results, you have to be sure they used default bench settings.

Score in 3dmark2k I got 3254 at default benchmarh, which is 1024x768x16.

Sounds like I definately should be higher, don't you agree???

I do not agree. I think that you are at the limit of the TNT2. You might get a little higher, but compared to what i have seen, that is pretty good for the TNT2. The Ultra may give another 4-500 points, but the next big steps seem to be with the G Force DDR and GTS.
Of course, what do I know?

Ultima, I also believe that you have reached the maximum 3D performance with your current video card. 3dMark scores can be extremely influenced by hardware T&L, so it will
require a GeForce (or similar) card to obtain much better results with your configuration.

Flash4Master, try and beat my low score. On my old computer, I have a K6-166, 64mb ram, 16mb banshee (underclocked, just to compete against you!!) I got 319.

Cause that is what I got in my second system.
Maybe change cards between the 2???

Don't return the GTS, as it's probably just a driver conflict. Try nVidia's 5.32 reference drivers:

I'm using the 5.30 drivers, and when i broke 6K, i forgot that was at 640x480. I get over 5000 with 1024x768x16. Make sure you don't have fsaa on, this will really hurt your score(I was wondering why i kept getting barely 3000 at 1024 for a while...then i turned fsaa forced off and disable vsync etc... and my score skyrocketed. FSAA is EVIL!! Anyway it doesn't matter to me really, as long as i can' play a game at 1024x768 with no slowdown or glitching, i'm happy.
