It was the timing of your appearances.

I haven't really seen your replies to posts until recently.

We participated in a discussion about thermal transfers, where you corrected and enlightened me on several points. That triggered my curiosity as to who you may be and what your profile contained. It occurred to me, somewhat unusual, that you had so many posts and I never notice you around. However, the thought promptly slipped to the back of my mind. A seed later to sprout early this evening.

I remember seeing the 8ball and Elf oddity, but thought nothing of it, since I couldn't make heads or tails out it -way over my head!

Then tonight, after reading the 8-Ball&ELF post, I realized we were to guess the name of the third who completed the triumvirate. The third triumvirate, so to speak. But I still didn't realize it was an actual person. I thought the clue was in the name itself. After being led to reread the related posts of Ball and Elf, did I understand the third name was to be of the person posting.

"This is impossible," I thought. "Where's the link?" Then that seed sprouted. The thistle seed in the back of my mind. The one on the verge of being dumped. The recent volume of the appearances of posts by 8-Ball, ELF and Roy coincided. Viola, I said to myself. "Viola!"

I went back and searched these posts and found whiffs of hints. Sometimes the hints were bold.

I will leave the choice of the guerdon up to your better judgement. I not certain what they are.

I can't understand..

I'm pretty lame at taking hints. It practically has to be spelled out for me to understand. Shoot. It took me awhile to understand this was a name the writer game.

Is there really a reward? What am I to do? Seek the choice -Hrumph.

Is the geurdon actually mentioned in these posts? Am I just suppose to announce the choice? Are you pulling my leg? Is that why I feel so tall? With my head above the clouds -half way to heaven. One foot on the ground and the other in hell?
