I was in a network but no more, how do I get rid of the icon

I was in a network but no more, how do I get rid of the icon, its bugging me and its making my comp slower, becuause I think that it checks for rights before loading anything!
anyhow, want to completely get rid of network negithbourhood, and network utilities, except my tcp/ip!

LOL YOU CANT get RID of networking if your going to be USING tcp/ip protocols http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

You can "hide" the icon but it too will have some drawbacks.

Please explain what your trying to do and I'm sure we can help you with a work around http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
