The GeForce2 GTS may be defeated by the upcoming Radeon 64Mb DDR. The Radeon 64Mb has a lower fill rate than the GeForce2 but has a much higher memory bandwidth which allows it to be quite much faster in higher resolutions and higher textures. Do you think the Radeon can put up a challenge against GeForce2??

One of the preview benchmarks are on the following website: http://www.sharkyextreme.com/hardware/guides/ati_radeon_64mb_ddr/1.shtml

Yes the Gf2 is defeated, but its been out for 2 months + (mid may, june, July). If I base my self on the release of the Geforce 256 last year (mid sept), the Radeon doesnt have alot of time being king because if the NV20 is release on setp and oct, that will only give 2-3 months being king.If this card would had been release at June or May it would have been a big contender to Nvidia.
I also seen someplace on the net that a Memory OC Geforce 2 GTS
at 420 beat the Radeon except on 1600*1200 32bpp color which win by 1.2 fps.
Im also not saying this is bad card, infact its card if I didnt have a GF DDR, I would be one instead a GF2 GTS.
All im saying is that ATI released this product to late (August to customer I think 64mg DDR) and that the newer better product from NVIDIA and hopefully 3DFx are right around the corner (from Sept-Dec).
PTW: Who think that the NV-20 will again have a memory bottleneck, like GF2, I sure thinks so because 200mhz DDR memory is just fast enough for the GF2, and the BV-20 is uppose to use 200mhz DDR memory.
