Where is the best free web hosting site..I am gonna build a little homepage and.....

I am looking for the least amont of ads,and a good amount of storage too......

I like tripod from what I have seen.......
I also would like one that has a good domain

I use www.crosswinds.net (http://www.crosswinds.net) . They have no banner ads or disk limits. The only thing that happens is that a new browser window will popup when a visitor to your site leaves. Then I use go.to (http://go.to) to redirect to it. Not a bad setup. Check out the options at go.to, as their are several ad options to choose from when people use the redirect address. The small pop-up is the best in my opinion, and it so small it's hardly noticed.

You might want to check with your ISP as well...a lot offer site hosting for free, or for a small fee.

Freeservers (http://www.freeservers.com/) is pretty good. they give you 20 mb of space and unlimited e-mail addresses (POP3, i believe). they require a small banner ad at the top of the page, but it's nothing major.

it's always free, so you need not worry about anything like that. they also have bonuses, such as guestbooks and counters.

once i finish making my page, it's probably going on there (unless i wanna pay 30 bucks a month). i find that their service is very similar to that of one of those low-cost servers (that charge 6.95 or whatever a month), so it's nice that it's free.

their site format is like this:XXXX.QWERTY.com. where "XXXX" would be whatever you name your site and "QWERTY" would be whichever site you choose to be hosted by (such as 8m.com (http://www.8m.com/)).

i hope this could inform you of some of your options (other than geocities (http://www.geocities.com/), angelfire (http://www.angelfire.com/), tripod (http://www.tripod.com/), and such).
