RIVA TNT2 PCI 64M and Sis 530

finally, i got tired of the sis530 on my
APTIVA, i just wonder is that possible to
put a new RIVA TNT2 PCI card to take over
that sis530 which is onboard-chip?

if anyone have the experience or knowledge,
i would greatly appriciate your advise.

before you put the new card in disable the old one in your system properties

I did this with a Pac-Bell(yadayada) and have had no problems

I think the system looks for add-on cards first and if found dis-abled onboard but you may look in the motherboard book to see if yours is jumpered
