garbled text/fonts

my win95 machine has developed the annoying
problem of periodically trashing the appearance of text on the desktop icons,
text on the buttons of applications, the
text in explorer,etc. I've ran Norton
WinDoctor to clean up the registry didn't
help. Re-installed win95, didn't help.
It seems to usually occur when i'm switching
from window to window and when it does this
the only thing I can do is to re-boot. Please
help...........!

Do a Find on ttfCache and delete this file. It may be corrupt. It is the true type font cache. It will be recreated upon reboot.

Did you write in with this before? If I'm mistaken or have given you this suggestion before, I apologize.

go to display properties\appearance tab\scheme\ and change it to windows standard..

that should fix it..
