AMD K6-2 and AGP

I'm planning on building a system around the AMD K6-2 500MHz and the Tyan S1598 motherboard which has an AGP port. I 'heard ' that there have been problems with this cpu and APG in general.
Is this known to be true? Does anyone have this setup and can anyone recommend a good video card for this configuration?

Primary focus for this system would be Flight Simulator ' 98 or possibly FS 2000. No gaming.

AMD K6-2-350 @ 448 (112x4)
FIC VA-503+ (2x AGP slot)- VIA chipset

Have used 3 different AGP cards. Zero compatibility problems.
