I have a Celeron 400@500 and a Diamond Multimedia Stealth III Xtreme(savage4 pro). The 3d graphic is slow as hell. using winamp plugin, i can go up to 60 fps with 8bit color
16bits @20fps, a lowy 32 bits @5-6 fps. What the heck? Is the Celeron doing too much load or is the Stealth is too slow? Many people consider the Stealth III xtreme to be the value card of the high end system. what up with this?

Try to update to the newer drivers on their web-site . Or mabee the winamp plug-in is just porly desing and does suport well your card

(your celeron isn't the probleme here for shure)

Why don't you try benchmarking your system using one of the 3D Mark 99 or 2000 and see your fill rate, if you have reached nearly the maximum the vid card is good for your Cel.400 if the fill rate is not even near the peak fill rate then the CPU is the bottleneck. Nothin' to do with before, I'm just giving you suggestions on benchmarking on a popular program. First, you have to find out the max fill rate of your card...
