1+4=5
2+3=5
5=5

It's the same thing.

Not exactly twobit. The 100mhz bus will be quite faster. It will allow for greater throughput between the the cpu and the ram.

Won't hurt it, and yes it IS faster. Bus speed will cause quite a difference there!

Benchmark it both ways, you'll see.

It might also run at either 4x66 (233) or 2.5x100 (250)

Ok silly question time.
here goes. I am putting together a 2nd system and just got a really good deal on an Iwill XA100Plus SS7 Mobo. I had an AMD k62 400 Laying around and 128mb pc-100 ram. Well the processor is dead and I've had it for a while so I can't very well take it back. I have put a old pentium 200mhz in the system for a temporary fix. My question is this. Right now I have the bus speed set at 100mhz and the multiplier set at 2.0. Now I know this processer is supposed to be set at a 66mhz bus and a multi of 3.5. It seems quite a bit faster at 100x2.0 so will it hurt the processor to run at this or do I need to drop it back to 66x3.5.
