Don't have a clue what the AGP sideband is --but if someone answers your question -- while they're at it -- I'd like to know more about the AGP aperture setting. My BE6-II sets it by default at 64MB. What does that mean? I've got 256MB of ram - should I increase the aperture size? Will that improve my video performance? I'm running a Matrox G400 Max in my AGP slot- if that has any relevance to the question.

I'd like to know the benefits of AGP sidebanding myself. As for the AGP aperture setting, that is the amount of system memory allocated to AGP textures. Increasing it beyond 64MB will probably not yield a great improvement since many games rarely use that large of textures.
