I get this error: hud.pcx
mad onions says
Q: 3DMark2000 gives file (usually .pcx) corruption
error messages.
A: This happens verifiably with overclocked Celeron
systems (especially with 83 MHz bus). Please lower your
bus clock.
I am at 83 mhz with a celery 466. anyone find a way around this error?

I get it sometimes when overclocking to far. You can try disabling dma for your hard drive and also lowr the piomode in the bios.

Thanks Brydon, You always seem to help me out.
I don't understand about lowering the pio mode in the bios.

some bioses have a setting in the first screen, the one with the hard drive settings, and you can lower the pio mode there if it is available. Also disable udma in the bios (usually in integrated peripherals) and also in windows (in device manager). You can also set ram to cas3 and set the ram speed to slow or normal. Basically at 83mhz your pci bus is at 41.5mhz and it should be at 33 so your hard disk doesn't handle the overclocked pci bus well. Maxtor hard drives are well known for this. If you have another drive then try it with that but apart from the above I don't know any other solutions, sorry http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif
edit...also if you have hdd block mode enabled then disable it. Also do a fresh install of 3dmark 2k http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
