Ok Im in need of assistance with this one. I recently chagned over from a Monster Fusion 16 meg to a Viper II. Anticipating huge increases over my 62fps q3 fastest demo performance I tried it out. Much to my chagrin, I achieved......... 61 fps.

Current system:
AMD K6-2 500
192 Mb Ram
Viper II
SB PCI 128
Asus p5a-b mobo

I installed the most recent drivers, and applied the "recommended" bios changes to no avail. The only thing I havent done is update my Video Card bios, which I will do tonight. Also, my previous card was PCI, so this is my first time using the AGP slot on my mobo. S3 says on its "help" page that I should update my IDE and AGP drivers for my aladdin V chipset. This seems like a lot of screwing around for a video card.

Needless to say I would appreciate all help you can give me!

The Viper II's drivers need fixing. The best thing you can do is get whatever patches are available for your games, and wait for Diamond/S3 to release some good drivers.

I think its because he has a K6-2...NOT a gamers CPU because of its weak floating point unit.
