Any tips? Palleman 03-28-2000, 01:16 AM Why on earth would you want to remove the old one? its quite enough. I was running at highest speed and had NO problem. If you think its the problem anyway, get a better case allowing for a maximum air circulation inside the case.. What you could do however is to attach another one on top (on the side where there are none) of the board. //P oblivion 03-28-2000, 01:54 AM It is a puny heatsink, and needs to be replaced, especially if you want to OC with it...I suggest using either ttheraml tape,or thermal glue.............and there is even heatsinks that will fit into those holes that you can buy. Bravo4 03-28-2000, 02:25 AM Would u happen to know where i could buy them? HARDHEAD 03-28-2000, 06:29 AM I took the heat sync from my 500e and put it on my 6600 pure little paste and two drops of super glue on each side of the heat sync held it in place . Then I cut off the header on the PIII fan and cut the header off of the 6600 fan soldered them together to get the RPMs off of the PIII fan connected the fan to the 6600 header and now I have the ability to monitor the RPMS off of the ASUS software with out that annoying message of your fan is not working .
