Ok first, how do u remove a bad cluster on the HD ( only one bad cluster )?? Is there any way? On formatting the HD, how do you format a 27GB HD (32 bit) with 3 partitions, and making one partition over the 8GB limit on a dos prompt?? Is there a porgram or does anyone know of a program ( used partition magic4 but i don't think that it did it right )????

run scandisk it will mark the cluster bad and will not allow copying to it. Partition magic should work for dividing up your hard drive. PM 3 required windows I think, not sure about more recent versions.

Partition Magic 5 has an executable that works in DOS.

Bad clusters are usually from incorrect shutdown or partial files ont he hdd. Bad sectors are bad portions of the disk and cannot be removed.
ScanDisk or any utility suite should take care of it.

Hello,

Sometimes if you run a low format of your HD it removes bad clusters (but you know what that means).
