and no drivers worth it How good is this card? Like the G-400 max but at 187$ a lot of money.

My friend bought one, and despite what I thought about them, they are actually pretty decent. Maybe not as cool as a brute strength GeForce, but at that price, I think it'd be worth it.

Bought one in building my friends system...He wanted a card that could proform well, and had good DVD decoding and TV-out for a good price. This seemed to fit the bill perfect.

..And it did Q3 and Unreal Tourney look excellent (annoying flickering top line in UT tho...)
Its even got some T&L action, but wont be better til better drivers
For 130, its a real good deal.
I also had the qualms between these two cards. The Viper II is the stronger card, and the cheapest of the new gen cards but has the worst driver development. Matrox has the best driver development, but is only a so-so performer compared to the rest of the new gen fleet.
Im going to wait for Matrox's new card (anytime soon?), and decide whether to get that, or the G400Max that will then be shot down in price significantly.
