I can't believe we're going to live this war again, but the TNT-2 Ultra would most likely offer you more performance with the Athlon cpu. When the TNT-x chipset is placed with a cpu that can actually "feed" it enough raw data, it's performance really flies. The driver implementation is stable, and have several thousand man hours of coding and tuning behind them. nVidia has been using the same driver base since the TNT-1 cards, so they have been extensively tested.

I like the v3, esp. for lower cpu powered systems, but since you have an Athlon, why not put that cpu power to good use. In most Athlon based 3d benchmarks, the TNT-2 Ultra in always among the top performers, including the Matrox G400, v3 3500, and even the GF256 SDR at lower resolutions.

I agree, with an Athlon you'll be able to exprience the RIVA TNT 2 or Ultra a full performance. The TNT offer good speed and great looking textures.

The Voodoo cards are also great but I recommend them for slower systems.
