Just a bit of info for all the guy's out there. I have upgraded my monster II 8 meg card to the voodoo3 3000 PCI. now with D3D games ALL the textures are dark to almost black. opengl is not effected. To check this out i uninstalled the V3 and put in monster II and now the textures are good to go. im using the diamond drv's for the monster II and the 3dfx drv for the V3. Other than that the V3 works perfectly. Those anyone know if 3DFX will put out a update to the D3d issues I have reading about. Also in 3D mark 2000 the textures are dark to black compared with the monster II card. my system has all the updated drivers so its not the issue. any info or help would be very appreciated. thanks all

info needed. I thought i read the specs on the voodoo3 card and it said that any color of 256 or less and bit quality less than 16 bit the voodoo functions are NOT USED that vga.drv is used. If this is so, let me know.
the reason i ask this I just checked out the texture files in FS2000 and they are done up in 8 bit by 256 colors. I will try to convert them to 16 or 24 bit and see what happens. But I think I am closer to the trubs I have been having with FS2000 and V3 D3D.
