Hello all, I've got a question regarding a 21 inch monitor I picked up at an auction. It's an InterGraph MDSP 1270A 21 incher, and it's a few years old. The problem is this. Win98 or Win2k has no information on it, so I have to specify it as some other monitor, and then use Entechs Powerstrip to get the right refresh rates.
For the most part, after a bit of tweaking, this works ok... but does anyone know where I might get an .inf for this monitor, or even how to write a basic one? I've gotten the rez/refresh rate info from Matrox, which appears to be the only company which ever supported this monitor (and still do), but I have a voodoo3 3000 agp, and 3dfx has been of no help in this matter. Microsoft also had little advice to give me.
To confound the problem, Intergraph won't let me speak to their engineering dept, so I can't figure out the finer details of this monitor, and the matrox drivers won't let me install, so I can't get at the .inf that way. (it's contained inside their powerdesk program). So, in 98, at least, the powerstrip program lets me specify the refresh rates... though that messes up how my dvd's look... and in Win2k, it doesn't work at all. So, that's the basics of this problem... anyone have any ideas on how to lock windows into using only the right rez/refresh rates, or to get at the .inf from matrox/intergraph. Any/all help would be appreciated. Hope this one isn't too much of a stumper.
