I was wondering how fast the Banshee's fill rate was? I also want to know almost all of the specs of the Banshee? Against V2, V2 SLI, V3.

RobRich 02-10-2000, 11:00 AM Different companies clocked the banshee's core to different speed, but 3dfx's defualt was 100mhz, thus it had a 100 mpixel/sec and 100 mtexel/sec fill rate. The banshee only has one texture mapping unit, so it can't benifit from multitextuing games like the v2 or v3 can. Good news though, with just a good 486 fan attached to their heatsink, the banshee's would commonly overclock to 120mhz for core and memory. Other factors to consider: the V2 has a max resolution of 800 X 600, the 8MB Banshee sucks, and as was already mentioned, Banshee can be overclocked pretty well, as well as V3 depending on your cooling..
