Napster

I've heard alot about Napster so thought I'd take a look at it. I was surprised at the amount of music(MP3) there is available for free download and many downloads are from T1's or cable modems which hit download speeds of 100k or more on my computer.
I downloaded a few and then started feeling guilty, this is stealing.
Any thoughts on Napster?

I have way to many records and tapes to convert to MP3's so I have used it to get many of those albums.
The problem I have is that I get so many people downloading MP3's from me it slows down everything and I end up cutting them off. The program should have some way to limit how many people can download you files at one time. I have it set to where people can only download one file at a time and still see the same user downloading as many as five! I will just have to unshare my files if this keeps up. First I will try to set it so it says I have a 14.4 modem and see if that helps.I have a cable modem and the upload times really suck.100K upload will never happen. Well enough said.

napster is more of a last minute or quick find programme if i cant ripp it off a cd or a friend hasn't got it then napster here i come and if you cant remmeber the name/title of a song and you only can think of one word the napster will find it.

just dont share but a handful of songs and you wont have that problem..I also list my connection as 14.4 modem and no-one wants to mess with me then

I have a directory with like 10 songs in it and keep all my main mp3's tucked away elsewhere. Odd thing is I still have the occasional upload. Codybear, 14.4? I love you 14.4 guys. Always show up with a low 100 ping and my downloads sizzle. Hell, sometimes I limit my searches to 14.4 modems. Anyway, Napster rocks. As long as I am not selling it I don't feel to bad about downloading songs.
