My system: dual 433x2 (o'c 522), Matrox Mystique 4M, Kensington 4-button thinking mouse... the rest is not relevant.

Yesterday, after I made up my mind to purchase a video card online (preordered a viper 770 ultra from buy.com). My old card (mystique) started to complain... my cute mouse started to comfort it...

when I moved the mouse pointer over some text, there would always be a tiny blue dot appearing at the right bottom side of the common mouse pointer..... no matter how fast I moved the mouse, that blue dot always followed the mouse pointer...

after a while, I figured that probably, the Mystique was not quite happy with my decision to replace her... I gave up...

anyway my new card is on its way in a or two weeks...... ;-)

hmm... about my system, (the old asus and pentium 187mmx have been replaced) the big screen 17' viewsonic 17PS is getting smaller and smaller, the cute inwin a-500 is getting more and more crowded, the fast reponding focus keyboard is getting more and more dirty, and the mouse... I still LOVE it!!!

four buttons, anyone else got this cutie?! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/icons/icon7.gif

Blue dot sounds like something the mouse driver is doing - 4 buttons - what are they all for? - Can you program them to any degree??

Might try changing the appearance of the pointer in control panel to see if that impacts the blue dot thing -

Have you tried changing the rez on the display to see if that makes it go away??

The problem went away now. It was only a tempary thing. But I am not sure, I did cancel that Viper770 order, cause I couldn't wait to get hands on it. I am going to buy it in a local computer show.

well, guess you are right, I also doubt that might be a mouse driver problem or the video card. who knows...

The four button thing is really fantastic, there are numerious way to program them. from various shortcut keys combination, copy & paste, closing/minimizing/maximizing program/windows/document to launching programs and whatever, it is really really great. I love it so much even though the driver is never perfect, I got problems sometimes under some circumastances. but... still it worthes it... The worst problem can happen is that when the driver program goes wrong, it become a regular two-button mouse... it doesn't matter.. right? http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I wish I could see that blue dot again, it is kind of cute problem...
