Hi ParaDeath-
Just out of curiosity, why do you want to remove it? I tried to get one off mine once, but gave up for fear of damaging the chip. I think the heatsink is arcwelded on! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif
If it's better cooling you want, put a slot fan under the card that draws the heat away & blows it out the back of the case. You can also take a case fan, mount it to a slot cover, & install it right below the card blowing up- I did this on my Voodoo & it works great.
I think the stock sink is adequate, especially if there's air flowing across it.
Just a few ideas... http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif
Have a good one!

I popped mine off a diamond g460...and it looks like it's on the same way (same heat sink too).

It's was a really delicate process....I stuck a butter knife under the corner and popped it. haha, mind you, the card was already smoked so I didn't really care so much. But the chip appeared undamaged. The **** that they stuck under there.....ugggh. It was like mm think layer of this super glue like stuff....couldn't get it off with a razor blade.

Yeah, Seti's kinda funny that way.
You oughta see what he does with a motherboard, a spatula, and a bucket of Crisco... http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif
