I would like the C++ Compiler DOS version not Visual. I would like some ideas as to where I can get it. I don't want to spend more than 5 or 10 dollars 4 it.

Thanks 4 ur suggestions

Try: www.borland.com (http://www.borland.com)

They have relased a c++ compiler in freeware form for general use. Seems to be quite a nice app. Evevn has support for most MS Visual C++ functions, if you ever want to go visual.

I used Turbo C++ last year, is there a difference between the version Borland offers: The Borland C++ Compiler 5.5 & the Turbo C++ I used?

Otherwise this version is OK 4 me.

Thanx

Wish I could answer that, but almost 99% of my exposure to C++ is is MS's Visual version. The new Borland compiler is supposed to offer several new functions, as is supposed to have much more support than the older versions.
