How do in know that i got a tnt2 ultra ???

i will receive a hercules tnt2 ultra tv out
this week,now i would like i know i can see
if this is really a tnt 2ultra and not only
a tnt2 ???

It will say on the box if it comes with a box. If not it may come with a driver that looks like tnt2 Ultra or something.

This same type of thing happened to me. I ordered my computer through a company and ordered it to come with the tnt2 ultra... but i wasn't convinced when it came that it was in fact the ultra. The best way to check is if it is not an ultra it will have a core speed of i think 125/150... but if it is an ultra it will be more like 150/175. Also as soon as you turn on your computer it will print some information about the video driver in the top left hand corner of your screen. It should say RIVA TNT2 ULTRA or something to that effect but it should have the word ULTRA in it. Hope that's helpful.

Actually, the best way is during bootup. Look to see whether or not the display device is detected as "029". The regular TNT2s show up as a different number (019?).
