After installing my new video card I find I can only use 16 bit color, so obviously there's a problem with the drivers. In display adapters in device manager I get the dreaded yellow exclamation point. I tried reinstalling the drivers from there but it still doesn't work. When I put my old 2D/3D card back in, everything works fine.

What do I look at as far as troubleshooting goes?

Are you using win95 or win95a? Those versions don't support agp cards. Either reinstall windows with win95 osr2.x or win98.

If it is a driver problem download Nvidia's reference drivers from www.nvidia.com. First remove all traces of your old and new card from windows (device manager, registry, left behind files, etc.) and install the card so windows detects it and use the new drivers.

Also it could be an irq conflict.
