I have a riva tnt w/a 90MHz core clock and I need to know if I can safely overclock it to 125 w/out buning up my chip. I already have 2 fans on it and i have already overclocked it to 110. It does not get very hot w/ 2 fans but I would like to know If it can be done. I would also like to know if the memory clock can be overclocked also safely.

Nothing is safe when you overclock. You do it at your own risc, but i guess you know that. If you overclock the chip too much it wont melt, but the computer will crash. Then you reboot it and the videocard defaults to 90MHz. I have overclocked my own CL TnT1 to 130, but it almost crashed right away. So my guess would be that your card wont make it to 147MHz. But try. Remember: donīt blame me if it smokes!

With the price that TNT cards are selling for today, go for the max o/c. If you fry it, you can easily replace it. If this doesn't work for you, the v3 2000, or the 16meg TNT-2 are dropping in price every week. Good Luck.

You can reach over 1GHz with "TnT Clock." The program allows you to set it to whatever you want. If that wasnīt what you were asking well then just donīt read this /forum/smile.gif
