After lurking here for awhile I'm embarassed to even ask this, but is a one meg vid card overclockable? I spent all my cash on a VA503+/amd 350 and NT server. I have no $ left for other parts- 8x cd rom, soundblstr 16,all from my old biostar based machine. What I do have for video is: S3968 video card: FCC# ftupci968524.
I gather the 524 is a half meg.
I also have a trident isa card that has a bios # visible on post, but I suspect thats even slower (refresh rate wise) than the S3. It is isa and came out of my 486...
Is there any thing I can do to improve performace with these old parts?
Any help would be appreciated- I know your gonna say get a used matrox or something, but if I'm gonna practice tweaking, I wanna screw up an old one before I burnup an expensive one.
