Well, ill be up front. I used to have quake2, which i purchased new. Well, after Halflife, I got bored of it, and sold it to a used software place. They dont have it now, and what i really want it for is its benchmarks and a little multiplay to get me revved up for Q3's release. I have a icq friend with a fast connection(750 k up) but he doesnt have Q3. Heh , anyone with a fast connection, that has icq and q2 want to help a fellow gamer out??-if it's possible?? I really dont want to spend 30-40 bucks for this game when ive already bought it once, and plan on buying Q3 in the next months when its released. My icq is 31315883 http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

ICQ a 200M file? sounds so crazy to me. I don't know if you can do it or not but to me it's too risky and time consumption. What if after you recieve 199M and bang it's disconnected. I reckon you should ask your friend to split it up to small files even if you could send 200M file over ICQ. There are many program to split file out there. I often use splitmaster, you can find it at www.download.com (http://www.download.com) or www.hotfiles.com (http://www.hotfiles.com)

Tran, you seem to have missed two things: first, he's using a cable connection, which means he won't be disconnected like a phone. Second, even if by some odd chance he were disconnected, ICQ supports resuming, so he could start right where he left off.
