I know the CPU needs more umph, but are there any accelerator cards that would make playing the newer 3d games tolerable. My standard PCI card runs in Slloooooooww motion.

hmm the V2 may work but not on its optimum level
i think your best shot would be the V1 its not as fast as the V2 but on your comp u will not notice much of a difference

I had a V2 8 meg in my Pentium 100 system about a year back and it improved my game playing so much, of course upgrading the processor and ram is the best thing you could do and the video card. But if your looking for an inexpensive upgrade, goto www.powerleap.com (http://www.powerleap.com) and check out their amd K6-2 upgrades, inexpensive and will work with socket 5 or 7 motherboards that are older, cause it has its own voltage settings and multiplyer on it. but the V2 improved my quake2 playing, I went from 400x300 in a shrunken window to playing in 640x480 full screen at over 30 fps.

Thanks "Vid"
What I realy wanted to know is if a Creative Banshee would work effectivly with this CPU.
I can upgrade my card now, MB & CPU later!
