Is Your Computer Possesed by a Demon?

SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Your computer may be possessed by a demon, a leading minister warns.

"While the Computer Age has ushered in many advances, it has also opened yet another door through which Lucifer and his minions can enter and corrupt men's souls," said the Reverend Jim Peasboro, author of an upcoming book, The Devil in the Machine.

Demons are able to possess anything with a brain, from a chicken to a human being. And today's thinking machines have enough space on their hard drives to accommodate Satan or his pals.

"Any PC built after 1985 has the storage capacity to house an evil spirit," the minister confirmed.

The Savannah clergyman says he became aware of the problem from counseling churchgoers.

"I learned that many members of my congregation became in touch with a dark force whenever they used their computers," he said. "Decent, happily married family men were drawn irresistibly to pornographic websites and forced to witness unspeakable abominations.

"Housewives who had never expressed an impure thought were entering Internet chat rooms and found themselves spewing foul, debasing language they would never use normally.

"One woman wept as she confessed to me, 'I feel when I'm on the computer as if someone else or something else just takes over.' "

The minister said he probed one such case, actually logging onto the parishioner's computer himself. To his surprise, an artificial-intelligence program fired up -- without him clicking it on. "The program began talking directly to me, openly mocked me," he recalls. "It typed out, 'Preacher, you are a weakling and your God is a **** liar.' "

Then the device went haywire and started printing out what looked like gobbledygook.

"I later had an expert in dead languages examine the text," the minister said. "It turned out to be a stream of obscenities written in a 2,800-year-old Mesopotamian dialect!"

Since, then, Rev. Peasboro has researched the problem further and uncovered alarming facts.

"I learned most of the youths involved in school shootings like the tragedy at Columbine were computer buffs," he said. "I have no doubt that computer demons exerted an influence on them."

The minister estimates that one in 10 computers in America now houses some type of evil spirit.

Rev. Peasboro advises that if you suspect your computer is possessed, you consult a clergyman or, if the computer is still under warranty, take it in for servicing. He says, "Technicians can replace the hard drive and reinstall the software, getting rid of the wicked spirit permanently."

I think the reverend was being a bit rash when he suggested to replace your whole hard drive. What about all the data you will lose along with the demon.

The solution is simple,go to your local computer shop and purchase a copy of Norton AntiDemon or MacAfee Exorcist.

me thinks the good reverend has confused demon with daemon! Oh well, he was probably out abusing young boys when they studied the use of computers in bringing enlightenment to the masses. Hehehe!

if this is true, then it has much merit, so don't laugh at it... though i know that he went a bit overboard (esp. the suggestion of replacing the hard drive)...

the point he is trying to make (IMO), is that the internet has opened up so many people to things that they would normally not be exposed to...

granted, some things are good, but most (believe it or not) things are actually bad to be exposed to... the good reverend is just trying to point out that many people are changing for the worse due to computers and the internet...

some (actually many) computer games are violent in atleast some way... now, most people don't believe that this has an effect on them, but it does... if you don't notice it, maybe someone else does, but either way you do change (if only a small bit)...

pornography on the internet is no laughing matter either... this evil entity has taken over much of the internet... as the saying goes, sex sells...

i have seen (on decent sites, such as zdnet (http://www.zdnet.com/)) many ads for products with an attractive woman as the model... it's just sad that the world has come to the point of self-inflicted lust... we just respond to these ads (even on TV, in magazines, etc.) so the marketers (a.k.a.- extremely immoral people) just keep on sending us these horrible ads.

and like was mentioned, the internet (as well as MANY games) opens us up to violence... those columbine kids were heavily into the internet and online games and many other games as well... but no, instead we just blame the parents or the TV or whatever...

yeah, they all play a part, but you ever wonder what it is that sparks such things as these... it is the exposure to violence and immorality that does this... in the most recent shooting (with those first graders), the boy was living in a crack house... now that is exposure to immorality and violence...

the internet (and technology as a whole) has opened up this world to many things that should have never been...

these "demons" he is talking about is our own free will. we can do whatever we choose, but many a time there are influencing factors in choosing that decision... one of those factors is the Devil himself... he wishes us to fall into the World's way, but we must strive to get away from this...

the World's way is evil, immoral, sick, and demented. there is nothing worse. i commonly get those junk (spam) e-mails trying to invite me to "have some fun" at some porno site... of course i immediately delete them, but most people (men, specifically, but women too) don't.

kids and teens are especially affected by this... a little 8-year old boy should not be exposed to naked women and guns... he should be able to live innocently, as it was meant to be...

i should end this, as it is getting quite long... but, before i end, i must tell you that lust and a hunger for violent things is not good. in fact, it is evil and wrong...

we must strive to have higher moral values than this sick and demented world, for it has none...

and again, i must say that this is no laughing matter...

If there is a DEMON it's in the human spirit.
What ever it may seem to be, the concept of invading hosts is only sustained by the the host willing to dwell on the the possiblity of and the state of paranio presently existingin the psyche. In plain english.. I believe this is all B.S. People believe what they want to believe and let themselves get swayed by opinion instead fact. If you can't hold true to your own values and flip/flop, let yourself get coerced into another's opinion then the next step is to create A demon. Something to blame your existence and shortcommings on. Put your soul in the hands of the great "Demon Prophet" Give me a break,
format my hard drive and say Allelluha"

"What's in the pipe that he's smoking????"
