anybody heard of all advantage?

A friend of mine wants me to install this all-advantage software on my computer. I get like $12.50 bucks a month for letting my computer surf the internet and have an ad banner on for like 25 hours a month. He gets 10cents a minute for me as well. Standard MLM setup, based on browsing. I get the hours easily, but am not sure that:

1) I want the software on my machine
2) I care about 12.50
3) what are the security risks of having it run while I am away?

Any advice from this forum would be greatly appreciated, you guys are who I always come to first for this type of advice. Thanks.

Get it please, and you should get as many refferalls you can! I have been on since november 99', and I just got anough money to get a check now! I need to get refferalls!

Do be aware of the age of the topic, and now I do know people that have received money from both All Advantage and GotoWorld.

However, I personally find their browsers to be quite annoying. Whether you do or don't like them, that's your business. But you have to be very careful about where you post referrals - many people will be quite turned off by posting a referral on a forum (like this one). So you basically have to talk your friends into it.

If you like the idea, more power to you, but I've found there are more profitable ways to spend computer resources. It might take a bit more work, but the rewards are excellent.

Thanks Joel. That is pretty much along the lines of what I was thinking. It helps to hear it from someone else. I mean 12.50 a month for 25 hours is a bit low. I earn more than 12/hr at my present job.

You'll definitly get paid if you join, and maybe more than $12.50 depending on how many referrals of yours join.

But understand that the real reason they are paying you is so that they can track your every move on the web! They know where you g, what you click on, what you buy, and at what time you are on the internet.

Well i have nothing to hide, but i certainly don't want someone compiling data like that on me. Not for twelve lousy bucks anyway!

Go for it. I have Alladvantage running right now as a matter of fact. It's really not that annoying at all. It does steal a little bandwidth though... I've received two checks from them thus far, and my brother received one. I haven't used Gotoworld enough yet though...

$12/month eh.. If $12 means that much to you, skip breakfast 2-3 days a month and save yourself the trouble.

All Advantage: looks like yet another way to make the "FREE WWW" not so free as it used to be.

If your are not an oppurtunistic gold digger then I suggest building your own web based company..

All Advantage sounds to me like the very things you would ignore in your local news papers classified section..

Word of advice if you're not meant to be a salesman then dont be one.
