I have a couple of questions regarding my Diamond Monster2 and my 400 Mhz K62 64 megs of RAM system.

1. Are there any ways to tweak my card. Instructions will help.

2. Is it worth it to buy another to put in SLI mode.

P.s. I would by a TNT2 or something but my computer is a compaq and it doesn't have any AGP slots.

THANKS A LOT

go to WWW.voodooextreme.com and then select 3fingers quake2 page.He has an in depth article on the settings for a V2 and also some custom .cfg's that should help you fly!
If you don't have an agp slot and all you are looking for is more framerates at higher resolutions then sli is the way to go,bear in mind that you will not see an increase in visual quality. This is strictly for speed and resolution.3fingers does have a cfg that helps with visual quality but you take a hit in framerate. You could do the visual quality cfg and then sli and this might make you happy.Keep your eyes open for falling prices on the V2.

Get the latest drivers for the MonsterII if you don't already have them; they give you the option to overclock the card via a slider in the control panel, but only to 100mhz. Check http://www.fastgraphics.com for utils that allow further overclocking. As for SLI, with the MonsterII, the max resolution of the card increases from 800x600 to 1024x768, and the frame rate supposedly doubles. You won't notice much difference in Quake2 though, aside from higher res.
