I've been doing some photo imaging with Photoshop for quite a long time, but one thing that bugs me is that:

Does the printing quality has anything to do with the screen resolution (or I should say the picture resolution)?? Cause, when I print, I set my printer to print @ 1440dpi and if my picture resolution is like 72dpi, will there be any difference?

Thanks for help. Kinmon

No relation. The printer doesn't know and doesn't care what screen resolution you're using. The graphic file contains an image of a certain horizontal and vertical size - instead of thinking of the image size in inches or centimeters, think of it in terms of horizontal and vertical pixels - then, how the image prints on a printer, using a certain number of pixels per inch, and how it appears on a monitor, using a certain number of pixels per inch, becomes clearer.
