I have just got myself one of these babies and so far am really happy. But, i thought that cloneCD was meant to work with these drives. Kinda half the reason i bought it, anyway when trying to write and image file read through the burner it said that the drive wouldn't support the read mode(can't remember exact expression). This had happened on my DVD drive (as i had expected) and that is why i was reading the image file from the burner as well.
Does this mean that the CD-RW will work in the correct write mode but i need a different cd drive if i want to read in in the corret format. Or is there something i am missing that needs to be done.

I think i am going to answer this one myself. Was bored at work so started hunting for the answer and came across www.elaborate-bytes.com (http://www.elaborate-bytes.com) which listed info on the best cd writers and cd readers to be able to take advantage of cloneCD. So if anyone is looking into a cd writer it might be worth having a quick look at what they have to say.

I was going to post the site about RAW compatible drives ont heir site but figured you had already seen it. Some burners are not on there. I have an HP 8250 and it is not there but works like a charm. Doh- I don't like what they said about my other burner though (8110i - yep that POJ)

Yeah here's a quote from their site:
If you want to use CloneCD to make working backups of copy protected CDs, the cheapest solution is to buy a TOSHIBA
XM-6502B or 6602B CD-ROM or Toshiba SDM1201, SDM1202, SDM1212, SDM1302 DVD-ROM and a Mitsumi 4802TE,
4804TE ATAPI CD-Writer, or an HP-9100i/9110i or 9200i/9210i Writer. We are investigating other drives, which can be used.
