I have been using it now for almost a year,free virus updates and all.

i get mcafee free from school...apparently my univeristy has a deal to distribute mcafee products for free to the students.

You can get Fprot over at download.com . Free and effective, plus they do updates!

If you copy baffled's link and paste it into your browser window, it will take you there. I have also been using InnoculateIT from CAI, and it rocks and is free with free updates for life.
