Hi, you know when you've got a hard drive with several different partitions. Well, I've got a few fat16 and a few fat32 partitions.

Everytime win2k boots up, it says that there are inconsistencies in my hard drives *fat* It recommends that I either get them all fat16 or fat32, and does this HD analysis everytime. Of course I bypass 'em all.

Now question is, how and where do I disable this HD analysis that kicks into gear everytime my system boots up. Its really annoying me.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Try disabling the "logical disk manager" service.

Make sure you have a good backup just in case.

Hope this helps

Win2K has a MUCH more advanced scandisk program than that of Win9x. You have obviously shutdown improperly sometime since installing win2K and have never let it FULLY check the drives/partitions does this HD analysis everytime. Of course I bypass 'em all.

Let the "scandisk" complete and correct the errors and you wont get that everytime http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Thanks for the suggestions.

I'll try and let it do the HD analysis tonight 'cause its gonna take quite a while.

The thing is I didn't shut-down improperly during the installation process. I let it do its thing on its own. But I still get prompt everytime. Hmmm....
