I would like to do this 400Mhz (66x6). The MB is a version 5.2 and it has support for down to 2.5 volts core and 3.3 volts I/O. There is no support for 2.2 volts but 2.5 volts is within specs.

When I try the K6-2 400Mhz it is not IDed correctly so therefore L1 is not turned on and it is very slow. Can someone tell me if it is possible to make this work.

Also maybe a bios update would work? Does anyone know what the latest bios is? The bios string now is 51-0418-001437-00111111-071595-I430TX-001_10_TX-H

You could use the soft prog called CTU, Central Tweaking Utility, to do some tweakin.

Normally at http://unirefresh.demonews.com/ctu but that site is down again.
You can download the program at http://home.student.utwente.nl/r.muller/ctu.zip.

It may help.

Will I got it to work with Uart's L1 cache enable program and write allocation program. For a computer with a bios from 1996 it is pretty fast. I have it running at 400Mhz (66x6), but I'm going to try 450Mhz next (75x6) just to see if it will o/c that far.
