i really want my K6-2 500 to hit 600, it's just not happening with my Golden Orb (hey you, dont laugh!!!).
So, thinks i, the way to go is with a peltier. But after reading articles on overclockers.com it doesnt seem such a good idea to use a peltier directly onto the CPU (cooling the peltier using air cooling, i dont fancy delving into water cooling right now).
So i read on ocmod.com's guide to making an "air chiller" using a peltier to chill the air being blown onto your heatsink. unfortunately i couldn't quite follow what was being done, i couldnt really see how it worked.
can anyone explain how it works (http://www.ocmod.com/code/show_art.php?id=17&pg=1) , so i can modify it for my own needs.

and also can anyone suggest a way i could chill the air coming into my computer so i could keep the ambient temperature lower?

thanks,
Sean McLemon

From what I see they are using the peltier to chill the smaller heatsink and blow the air (now chilled from running thought the cold heatsink) one way and then using the larger heatsink to pull the heat from the peltier and blow it in the opposite direction. Pretty neat.
