does the motherboard you have have a kt133 chipset? is so youre out of luck, that chipset runs at the very maximum 115mhz fsb x2 sooo. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif but if you have the kt133a chipset memory settings may be your problem... is there a setting on youre motherboard to determine if the memroy is 100 or 133 ??

So if that's an older K7VZA that doesn't yet have the KT133A north bridge chip, then you're out of luck with that CPU - as you would with any other mainboard that still has the KT133.

K7VZA rev. 3 brought the KT133A and thus 133 MHz CPU bus capability (what you refer to as 266 actually is 133 DDR).
