I was thinking about getting my new PC from www.gamepc.com, as I really don't know how to build a computer, nor do I have an independent computer store type place to buy parts from. I mainly use my computer for entertainment(game mostly, Quake, Half-Life etc.)
But the trouble is I don't want to buy a pc from dell, gateway or anything like that because you can't really upgrade those at all, they are slow, and have crappy products in them... You know what I mean.
I was looking around at GamePC and they seem to have a great selection of products decent prices, and they specialize in game rigs, like I need. I just wanted to know if any of you have had any experience with them and to let me know if they are any good. Thanks.

An interesting place. I scanned individual item prices - 8-10% high. However, they have the freedom to cherry-pick processors and assure performance at overclocked speeds. That might be worth the differential.

Comparison shop at www.pricewatch.com (http://www.pricewatch.com) to get a feeling for prices on individual items. Consider finding someone in your sphere of acquaintances who will build or help you build a system for little or nothing over the cost of components. If you can wait, do more research on the web and develop an understanding of what overclocking is all about. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Prices there too high, you should contact Moondance Technologies, they do not yet have a web site, but they are the perfect blend of quality and price, they buy everything either factory direct, or through good venors and never use any OEM parts. They even install any software you want them to. Their prices are great, the computers are fast and upgradable, and they give you the perfect blend of choices and filtering (IE, they will offer you say, 25 options, but no ****). Last, they are very overclocker friendly, they will even overclock the chip you select to the best of its potential.
