My P3bf has this SDRAM ma wait state in the bios with setting of normal and fast. What is it and what should I set it to? Anyone knows where I can see some info on overclock p3bf bios setting tips?

I would say that the fast setting would be geared more towards performance while the normal setting stability.

Basically try it out using both settings and see which one performs better.

Running at a slower (higher l8ency) setting can allow you to clock it at higher MHz.... sounds pointless, but if you want to OC an Intel, then you have to increase FSB and when you get above the memory'r r8ed speed, the memory can be holding you back, rather than the CPU http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Try it!

I ran my old sdram (PC-100) @fastest settings (2/2/2 on an asus P5A-B) @115MHz fsb....
**** fast ;-)

Everything in bios is pretty much at the max setting...heheh http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif So far I have no problem and it's very very stable. The only temptation is the 150mhz http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif I don't want to go there yet. I like how it is right now, really kick azz in gamming. Man, can you imagine what speed my video card would be if I hit the 150fsb http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Currently I am at 140mhz.
