I have a ASUS P3BF overclock now at 140 and a P3 933 slot 1. I want to know what you guys would recommend for a cooler. Is golden orb good enuf or is there a better one for overclock system like mine. Please recommend.

For a slot 1? Geez. Um... (looks in history book)... I would recommend any product from Alpha, but if your FSB is already at 140, I think you are reaching the limitations of your motherboard, and not the limitations of your processor. You could probably get to a higher FSB by putting better cooling on the northbridge on your motherboard, but you are still relying on the RAM, the PCI and the AGP handling the higher FSB. What kind of temps are you running?

I couldn't get past 140 on that thing either, but that was on a 100fsb pII so I thought it was the processor

The best slot1 coolers are the GlobalWIN VOS-32 and Alpha P3125. It doesn't really matter which one you take, but the Global is cheaper. The Alpha is probably easier to find, though.
If you buy the GlobalWIN, make sure you've got enough room in your case for it, it sticks out almost an inch above the processor.

The noise depends on what fan you put on it. If you want better performance, you should get a higher RPM fan, but if you want it to be quieter, you should get a lower RPM fan. The highest performing fans right now are Delta Black label, but they are noisy. Some of the quietest fans are from Panaflo and Pabst, but they don't push as much air as you might like. The middle ground fans include YS Tech, and Sunon.

As Szech said, it depends on what fans you get with it. You can buy both those coolers without fans (I think). You can get the high performance Delta black lable fans, or the less performing YS Tech for instance. But the coolers perform the same when you use the same fans on them. So if you put 2 Delta's on the GlobalWIN, it'd perform the same as the Alpha with the same Delta's.
Some of the best HS/Fs are from Swiftech (http://www.swiftnets.com/) .

Which one of these would be less noisy do you know?
