I have rev1.01 asus A7V. I connected the bridges on L1. I think I connected them good. In the bios there is an option to change multiplier settings. It also says only available in ver1.04. So I'm guessing it's not working on mine. I tried anyway. Nothing doing. I do have dipswitches on the board. What settings do what? I have a 800TBird. Want to get it to 1GHz or more.

Anyone? I'm so close. I can't wait to overclock. BTW the jumpers are all set to off now. I tried moving them to make a multiplier 9, but nothing happened.

I was using this for reference. There is another dip switch next to this one. What do I do? I'm so itching to overclock. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

My manual says 1,5,6 on the rest off for a 1000Mhz. More details in your manual. The board version is silk-screened right after the A7V between the last 2 PCI slots. Make sure you disable jumper-free mode with JEN. If your jumpers to not change the speed, your bridging my be faulty.

Thanks for the info. I got only 800MHz to work on the jumpers, which is my stock speed. Does that mean I need to connect the bridges once again? I'm going to use a conductive pen now. What if I mess up with that? Is it erasable?

Take it easy, you do not want to kill the CPU. From what I know, TBird does not have a great OC capability like the Duron. I have Asus A7V, 850TBird and can only OC it to 1016MHz@107*9.5, @8.25v. It was not very stable at this speed. It crashed every one or two days. I brought it down to 950MHZ and it is much stable now.
I used the machenical pencil and it works fine. Use a good eraser to erase everything and start your connections again. I normally run couple of paths between the bridges. Make sure the lead do not touch between different paths.
Remember to raise the MHz slowly, that is the way to go. Also you have to raise the core voltage.
What kind of HeatSink are you using? TBird produce a lot of heat. The Asus A7V's Probe reading indicate that my CPU temp is between 52-56C, mobo 30-32C. I am using the GlobalWin FOP32 and that is the best that I can do. I also heard that this mobo report the CPU temp a little higher than other mobo (8-10C higher). I think they are right because I have another system MSI K7T ?? , 750 Duron, GW FPO32. The temp has never passed 47C with applications and music running in the background.
Follow the link that Scotter gave, try to raise the Freq first before trying to adjust the Mult. My configuration runs stable at 107. I hope you have more luck than I do in raising that Freq.

I did have luck raising the frequency. I think I got to 110 or 112. But get this. If you go higher then the system wont boot. I had to take the memory out and start the pc without it to reset the settings. I officially have the most beat up CPU on the planet. One foot is half there, another totally fell off and I had to use arctic silver adhesive. The one side is all chipped. Not much but you can see. There is arctic silver II all over the place. It refuses to come out with alcohol, nail polish remover, etc. I had an accident, too much came out http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif. Way too much http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif. I just made sure there is none on the bridges. But I have to say the chip looks cool in silver. I made sure to get a good connection with the pencil. Nice thick lines. I used a super magninfying glass and a really sharp pencil. I guess I'll try redoing it again soon. I have the Alpha HS and 22cfm fan blowing on it. Asus probe says 45-52C, but CompuNurse(for that 1min it worked) said 35-37C. So temps are cool.
